Waste collections are an essential service therefore will take place as usual.
With the health and safety of our teams, customers and our wider communities in mind, we ask you to take the following precautions.
For those in self-isolation or feeling unwell you need to double bag your waste. Please put all the waste that you have used, including tissues and masks, in a plain plastic rubbish bag. Tie the bag when it is about three-quarters full. Place the plastic bag either into your pre-paid bag or wheelie bin. Treat all cleaning waste in the same way. After you have placed these materials inside your pre-paid bag or bin, you need to wait 72 hours before placing your pre-paid bag or bin on the kerbside for collection.
All businesses need to adopt the same policy if they have staff members feeling unwell. Commercial bins (including recycling) should be placed outside for collection to avoid unnecessary social contact.
Please follow our website, social media sources or your local council website for future changes on collection methods or collection days.
If you wish to make contact with us our preference is via email to reduce call centre volumes.
Thank you for your understanding.
